The Iron Winter
You are the chief engineer of the Audacious, a massive steam-powered locomotive pulling the last evacuation train out of the freezing northern territory. Behind you, a brutal polar winter is burying civilization under ten feet of ice. Ahead lies the treacherous Whispering Pass, a steep, winding mountain track prone to avalanches and mechanical failure. The coal is running low, the temperature is dropping, and the passengers are growing desperate. Worse, someone on board is actively sabotaging the engine, disabling valves and stealing fuel. Every decision you make balances the survival of your passengers against the physical limits of your dying machine. Will you keep the fires burning long enough to reach the southern valley, or will the cold claim the Audacious as another silent monument in the snow?
