You are born where the fjord narrows and the horizon is an oath. Salt and tar cling to your skin as longships slip from beach to black water, oars rising and falling like a heartbeat. Wind and cloud shape every decision—storm, raid, or quiet harbor—and each sail carries the weight of kin and reputation. Nights burn with torchlight and tales; days test your nerves against reefs, ice, and the roar of river mouths where strangers watch from wooded banks. You push west toward islands of mist, south into braided rivers, and beyond maps whispered in hiding. Every landing tastes of iron and possibility: trade, blood, shelter, or fresh snow under an unknown sky. The world is larger and colder than your hearth, and glory sits beside ruin. You feel the pull of distant shores and the pressure of those who trust you. Live loudly, or not at all—every voyage writes a saga, and the sea keeps no patience for the uncertain.

Your navigator points toward a cluster of distant, jagged peaks that pierce the clouds like broken teeth. He warns of shoals and shifting currents that guard these northern waters, claiming the old gods stir the tides here to test the resolve of any who dare sail so far from the safety of the coast. A heavy fog rolls in, swallowing the sun and dampening the sound of the oars. The men look to you, waiting for a sign. You must decide whether to push forward, trusting your instinct to find the path through the…
