The Stonecutter of Athens
Athens, 415 BC. On the eve of the great Sicilian Expedition, the city wakes to an unthinkable sacrilege: the sacred stone herms guarding the streets have been systematically mutilated. A wave of religious panic sweeps the democracy. Then comes the anonymous tip, delivered to the Archon, naming your family's workshop as the source of the crime. You are a humble stonecutter, living in the shadow of the Acropolis, inheriting a disgraced name and a workshop surrounded by an angry mob. To save your kin from execution, you cannot merely hide; you must enter the dangerous currents of ancient politics and rising war. As the Spartan threat looms and demagogues sway the assembly, you must find the true conspirators. Chisel the truth from marble and lead the defense of Athens itself, rising from the dirt of the stone-yard to the heights of civic glory.
