Autumn in Alexandria

You are Farida, a gifted young art restorer working in the sun-drenched coastal city of Alexandria in 1954. Surrounded by crumbling frescoes, old books, and the gentle whisper of the Mediterranean, you have always preferred the safety of the past to the uncertain demands of the present. Your family’s prestigious but fading name demands that you marry well, securing a stable future that leaves no room for artistic dreams—or wild, unpredictable passion. But when a brilliant, working-class architect named Tariq enters your studio to help restore a historic estate, your quiet world is shattered. His laughter is like the warm sea breeze, and his gaze holds a promise that makes your heart stop. For the first time, you are tempted to look beyond the elegant salons of high society toward a future you choose for yourself. As the humid summer turns to golden autumn, you must navigate the strict expectations of your aristocratic mother and the secrets Tariq carries. Can a love built on stolen moments survive the weight of family duty, or will the changing tides of a modernizing Egypt sweep your beautiful dream away?
